do you think mainers are clanish

While responding in another blog I suddenly realized I still think of my birth place as home although we moved over 65 years ago. It's true we made yearly visits to relatives who still live there. but my parents generation have past on.
many of my childhood friends have moved away or past on. The paper mill that provided a good living for those that stayed is in trouble.
Yet when spring breaks I get that yearning to return to washington county. The landscape has changed little over the years. the coffee stops have been rebuilt but the food and local news is still the topic of the day.
I love to hear that distinct accent of downeasters; with that mixture of canuck twang mixed in.
How about you do you get that urge when spring rolls around?
