Libby and LePUKE now essentially TIED in the latest poll.
Critical Insights has been around awhile and tends to do good polling. Their latest poll released today now has the Democratic candidate Libby Mitchell leading the field at 30% vs. TeaBagger Paul LePage (who just said he'd tell President Obama to "go to hell" at one of his TeaPuke gatherings) who is now at 29%. The rest is split among the three Indies running.

It seems as more and more people pay attention and see what this AssWad TeaPuke is really like and all about, our smart moderate to progressive Mainers are really starting to THINK. The one thing is that there is a whopping 26% undecided in the poll, so MANY things can happen. But we are doing better, the ShitBAGGER is doing worse, and we MUST have Dems in Maine WORKING like hell to pound the SHITBAGGERS down. (Libby's ads have been hitting this TeaPuke pretty damn hard. This is what can happen when you get the hell on OFFENSE and damn well STAY there !)

(Anyone who knows ANYTHING about Paul LePUKE knows he's a nutty, lying, nasty, TeaPuke asshat.)

1. Two words...
Edited on Wed Sep-29-10 06:11 PM by Davis_X_Machina
...John Rensenbrink. The only reason we got saddled with Susan Collins is his Green Party challenge took enough votes from Joe Brennan in '96 to tip the scales, and the rest is history. Maine's fascination with independents and the pipe-dream of a politics-without-politicians will, mark my words, land us with Governor LePage.

2. Good News Indeed!
Thanks for cluing us in. I'm convinced that by November, the 'Tea Party' brand will be as toxic, maybe more so, than the Republican label. The O'Donnells, Engles, and Pauls are helping to paint the entire slate of TP candidates as loons...why would anyone double down on stupid?

3. A lot of people are sick of
Baldaci and he is a democrat. If he had put one half the money into ME farming initiatives as he did his pet project, windfarms, ME would be a lot better off.Farming increases tourism and wind farms are quite the opposite.

4. That man has worked like hell to save thousands of jobs in Maine mills and plants. GOOD that he took

national leadership on developing wind energy in Maine, especially the off-coast initiatives. We need to be working to perfect the energy systems of the FUTURE and not return to the crazy
nuclear/oil-drilling dark ages past. Wind is an important piece of our state and national energy future, and anyone who advocates otherwise is little more than a short-sighted naysayer.

6. I have one of the largest wind farms in the north east
practically in my back yard. Have researched wind farms and the corporation that built them for about 3 years. The propaganda can only be compared to shock and awe as the meme for invading Iraq. On the surface it looks like a fun video game. The reality , it is deadly and unjust.

7. We have had many wind farms in America for decades. Who is dead?
Edited on Thu Sep-30-10 05:22 PM by RBInMaine
Will people die if they are miles off shore? You're complaining because you don't like it in your back yard. Well, they have to be somewhere, just like power plants, prisons, etc. I will agree that onshore projects need to be sited as well as possible, but c'mon, do we just abandon the technology and promise of wind energy thereby going in reverse like RePUKES, or do we take the long view and continue to perfect the technology and deal with the siting issues the right way?

5. Yay! This is great news!
I must admit that I was getting a little worried but maybe by doing so I was unfairly underestimating the level of common sense the majority of Mainers posses. Lets hope this lead continues to widen.

It's my understanding that Michaud has a comfortable lead too. The 2nd district had been among one of my other concerns. It's not over yet, but I'm feeling more optimistic at this point. :-)

9. WE NEED ALL SORTS OF ENERGY INCLUDING HYDRO
We need every kind of energy we can get here in the northeast! the more renewable the better!
as for LePage many rumors are floating around about his deal in florida and his sons legal residency tuition fees. Enough to make one more than skeptical of voting for him!
I would highly recommend him to manage a Wal-Mart in China; or better yet one of those factories that wholly world is building there!
I think this man has looked out for himself to long and we need to seek this chinese job for him! I mean after all who better deserves it!
