oxford casino

I was looking over the Oxford Casino lot the other day and pleased to see the progress they are making. It amazes me how anything new in Maine has to be stalled until the right wheels are greased.
I was working for dot earlier in my life when Brunswick station was first sold to a person who later lost it(bout 3 years of red tape). well it is now built. I left the dot in 1976!!!
hope this makes a point that it doesn't matter which party is in power!(30 year HOLD UP)
My point about casinos is if the people vote for it,why is it re-run so many times? why are the permits stalled? well ya can argue it takes time; except I have been a party to when the right people are involved it can be speed up to lighting speed!
an example you say! the maine mall!the exit of the maine turnpike spur to payne road!
an on top of that the exit of the payne road spur to the maine mall! this exit took from original survey to construction stage only several weeks!
oh yes it;s who ya know that counts!!
Do I think we can get to many yes! do I think one is enough-HELL NO! BANGOR DEF. NEEDS COMPETITION!DO I THINK BANGOR SHOULD BE ALLOWED TABLE GAMES-HELL YES!
HOW MANY MAINE RESIDENTS TRAVEL TO OTHER STATES AND GAMBLE? HOW MANY DOLLARS DOES THIS TAKE OUT OF THE MAINE ECONOMY? LOTS AND LOTS! I CAN SPEND TWO DAYS IN FOXWOODS FOR WHAT IT COSTS ME TO STAY ONE NIGHT IN BANGOR ! THINK ABOUT THAT!!!
DO I STILL GO TO BANGOR,YES ! BUT LIKE MANY WE TALK TO ONLY BECAUSE I CAN DO IT IN LESS THAN 8 HOURS INCLUDING TRAVEL TIME!
