a typical rant from the right

since the day social security was enacted the right has tried to destory it! this is a ctypicasl rant from the right with no plan to replace what people over 50 are counting on!
" politicians in Washington have been funding Social Security. The problem is, instead of taxing to pay for it they are borrowing from future generations that are not yet around to protest.

When you examine the system as it was originally conceived it was a tax in order to garner the votes of a select group, the elderly who were no longer able to support themselves and had not or could not save enough to survive on their own or who depended on their children to care for them in their old age. If you run the numbers and consider the mortality tables revenue was going to be more than outlay. The stupidity of the action became evident because at the same time large amounts of money were being spent to extend the lives of Americans which would lultimately cause the system to be unsustainable without continually increasing taxes. The beneficiaries, the collectors and progeny of the elderly who are spared some of the expense of caring for parents are voters and the politicians of both parties are now caught in a squeeze!"
tyhis idiot has no idea what would happen to our economy if social security failed tommorrow!
he or she is a smug unimaginative who has all the answers! how many people in their 40's t0 60's could handle a sick parent if they had no social security? how many arte on social security right now with no other pension because corporate raiders or right wing appointed judges ruled with business(who under funded their pension plan)and these honest hard workers were left with only social security? god dam few if any! In fact a lot of us seniors are helping our kids because of these greedy half wits who have sold their party to big business!
my god this kind of thinking has made us a third world economy!
