problems with maryland's vote system
http://www.washingtontimes.com/metro/20040825-105253-8098r.htm

Maryland and Georgia are the two states that use touch-screen machines in all polling places.

Maryland is a more dem than republican state..
This is worrisome.

2. Or just point to our new republican governor...
...as a sign of Md. shifting to the right.

It's not like the governor's election before that wasn't a close one (Sauerbrey only lost by, what 5000 votes?).

4. Glendening
was re-elected in 1998 with 55 percent of the vote. It was the previous election that was close. And that was in the Republican year of 1994.

5. Don't worry about Maryland
the republicans don't control the elections machinery here. The big jurisdictions are controlled by Democrats.

6. There are plans for teams of lawyers here in MD
We won't be caught off guard. I don't think there's a need for worry here.

7. Truevotemd
I'm volunteering to be a poll watcher for truevotemd.org. Went to one of their training sessions last night. They could use more people documenting problems and you can volunteer online at www.truevotemd.org.
