State Republican officials say President Bush (website - news - bio) will host a fundraising luncheon to support Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele's campaign for the Senate.

The event is scheduled for November 30th at Ravens Stadium in Baltimore. Guests will be charged between $125 and $500.

Attendees that pay $5,000 can pose for a photograph with the president.

Democrats say the event is proof that Steele's views are out of touch with Maryland voters, many of whom voted against President Bush in 2000 and 2004.

1. Hopefully some protestors show up and this thing gets a lot of press.

Plaster Steele/Bush all over the local stations. Thats a great way to kickstart the campaign.

I meant protest Bush though. It will shed some light on the fact that he is not welcome here in Maryalnd and Steele should take note of that. Or for our sake, maybe he should just keep inviting him back. :)
