Saw My First Ad for Steele Today
I saw my first ad for Michael "Scarlet R" Steele this afternoon. Obviously targeted towards the "urban" market in PG County and Baltimore. Up-tempo urban music, says that you have to question both parties, and NO mention of the word "Republican" anywhere. Oh, yeah. He's definitely hiding his party affiliation. It isn't gonna work!

6. We HOPE it's not going to work. But I wonder how many
inner-city residents (look at low voter turnouts) pay much attention to politics. But they might see these ads and say, "hell, yeah, he's my guy."

8. Steele is catching on with younger African Americans.
Just a brief observation, I work downtown and Ive seen quite a few Steele t-shirts on the street.

His fundraiser w/ Russel Simmon's didnt exactly hurt either.

He has a strong message, but the message is false, we just need to make sure the voters are aware of that.

He is NOT an independent voice, he will NOT stand up to both parties, he IS a Bush lackey, he HAS accepted millions in campaign cash from the likes of Delay, Frist, Bush, Cheney, and their money backers, he WILL vote to privatize SS, and he still SUPPORTS this administrations failed 'stay the course' policy in Iraq.

If I were the democratic nominee, I would screaming those facts from the rooftops.

run, and then look at the fact that he is only down by 3-7%, he's in pretty good shape... especially if he can turn things around from an operational standpoint.
