How can you not be behind this guy? He's running a campaign on hope, empowerment, and fighting for the forgotten middle class. But most importantly, hope, and the dream of a brighter future - for all of us. Thats what I like the most. Ill be devistated if we dont win this campaign. Thats why Im going to give every single second of free time starting today to election Martin O'Malley.

Tough

Believe

3. Dave, your killing me buddy.
You're suppose to ooze confidence. Why are you worried about the senate race? Cross over Af-Americans? The latest blog thing?

4. There is a lot of anger
in the African American community. I think Steele will get around 20-25 percent of the African American vote. Cardin will need to do better in Baltimore County, Howard, and Anne Arundel. I think he has a good chance to win, but it will be closer than the Gov race.

5. I know Mfume said he was open to stumping with Cardin...
Edited on Wed Sep-20-06 08:59 AM by nickshepDEM
Do you think he will come through on the offer? Maybe even appear in a TV spot? Cant the party bosses throw him a bone like an open primary for Mayor if he actively campaigns with Cardin?

I knew this all white ticket was a bad thing, but when you think about it, we have some pretty strong African Americans throughout the state. Much more than the Republicans. Leggett won, Johnson won, Cummings, etc. They should all be out there for Cardin and O'Malley.

6. Yeah
I think Mfume will campaign for Cardin. I hope Mfume does run for mayor. That job is made for him.

7. Dave, I completely agree ... and I also worry. The Senate's no slam dunk
Afterthoughts instead of afterglow .... the primary's over

I liked Mfume and voted for him over Cardin. Not that I disliked Cardin in any way, shape, or form. I just preferred Mfume. But as I wrote in the linked thread, he may also have been the stronger candidate, conventional wisdom notwithstanding.

I **really** hope he'll campaign hard and very visibly for Cardin. We need all the help we can get.
