Don't forget about Frank Kratovil (CD-1)

I know many are going to VA or PA, but we still have a fight on our hands here in Maryland. Congressional Quarterly just put CD-1 in the toss-up catagory. Frank Kratovil as a real shot of upsetting Andy Harris and adding to our total in Congress. I just blocked the 1st through the 4th to Kratovil's campaign. I met him at a fundraiser the other day and he is the real deal who can do a lot of good in congress. Andy Harris is of the extreme right of the republican party and has blatenly lied in his ads, and has continued to do so even when caught by the press. We don't need more of that same old slime in congress. We need Kratovil.

Andy Harris' ads are vile. We're not in CD-1, but we live in an area of CD-2 immediately nearby and we see Harris ads all too often. I have family members who, even if they don't care much about politics, have expressed contempt for

"Liberal ideas don't work! Liberals just don't get it! Don't vote for him, he's a liberal! LIBERAL LIBERAL LIBERAL LIBERAL LIBERAL!!!"

...as a campaigning tactic.

Teach Harris a lesson over there on Election Day! Shut him up and ship him out!

I was headed out of my house yesterday when a young man who was standing in the street looking a bit lost saw us. He came up and asked for a minute apologizing that he saw we were headed out. I asked him what he wanted and he said he wanted to tell us about Kratovil. I took my hand and held it out for him to shake saying to him "Welcome young man. It's about time." I could see him relax. We talked for a while and I ranted about Harris. He said he has been amazed at how many people are telling him the same thing. It is an old neighborhood with many people over 80. The day of the primary we had an ice storm that kept vulnerable people away from the polls. People trusted Gilchrest even if he was Republican. He now has endorsed Kratovil. That is a reflection of how Gilchrest, a fine man, was trash and destroyed by the neo-con-in-the-extreme Harris. No signs were up for Kratovil around here before yesterday. Obama signs have appeared in the last week. You see I live in an area that is almost all DOD and skinheads. I think liberals are a silent group for their own sanity. Kratovil deserves the win; let's hope it happens.

... I liked him. He and his office took time to respond to my questions sent in via email and he seemed measured and reasonable. Love that he came out and supported Kratovil.

He got my vote this am. Harris is just another fear mongering shill (IMO).

is it still uncalled? Now they're saying they're going to start counting absentee ballots. I'm glad I voted for Kratovil. Every vote certainly does count. :)

I mailed my absentee ballot a couple weeks ago. I'm hoping it helps. :)
