Hoyer/Rick Warren
Marylanders -- Steny is a member of the Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies...this committee: "The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC) plans and executes all Inaugural activities at the United States Capitol, including the Inaugural swearing-in ceremony of the President and Vice President of the United States and the traditional Inaugural luncheon that follows.". 2. And vote in who?
Michael Steele?
Seriously, I think Hoyer has done well for his district. I'm sorry if he's not progressive enough for you--his track record isn't that much different from my rep Chris Van Hollen whom I'm more than happy with. If you hadn't noticed its infighting in the democratic party that tends to give the Republicans the edge in Marylnd. Thats pretty much how we got Ehrlich as governor. This state still has a pretty strong red base..we can't afford to go agaisnt true liberals because we don't agree with all their positions.

3. In what way does my comment suggest Michael Steele or his ilk as an option??
Hoyer's district has a lot of progressives in the College Park Greenbelt area, and more conservative toward Chesapeake Beach.

Van Hollen is my rep too. I decided to decline his invitation to go to Capitol Hill on the 6th to watch the swearings in on TV!!

4. So it has to be Hoyer or Steele???
There may actually be many BETTER candidates out there that could run against HOyer in the primaries and win in the general election.
