Air America's coming to DC

I thought I saw a brief mention of this in a recent column in the WashPest, so I looked it up. But isn't AM 1050 a WTOP station at the moment?

WASHINGTON --(Business Wire)-- Air America Media (www.airamerica.com) is coming to Washington, D.C., airing progressive talk programming on radio 1050 AM through a local marketing agreement (LMA) reached with Bonneville International Corporation. The LMA will enable Air America to broadcast its independent political voice, featuring such talent as Rachel Maddow, Montel Williams, Lionel, Ron Reagan and others throughout the national capital region. Air America will manage programming, marketing, and sales operations for the facility, beginning later this month.

And oh, joy. :eyes: We'll get to hear the horrible voice of Lionel, who was briefly and mercifully silenced when Dan Snyder shut down Progressive Talk 1260 earlier this year.

much for me. Lionel is just plain annoying. AM1260 really screwed up their line up when the replaced Hartmann with Lionel. :wtf:

Interestingly, I have found WAMU-FM 88.5 (NPR) to be a good choice. Diane Reem and Kojo Nnamdi are very interesting and informative to listen to. We also have over the air cspan also (90.1-FM)
