Baltimore vying for IRL event
Indy(car) Racing League ..... a street race in downtown Baltimore .... near the Convention Center.

I hope it happens.

1. I suppose it could be done. Where exactly, is another question.

What a nightmare, trafficwise for Baltimore. I remember being in Miama a few years back a week before an IRL or one of those racing groups was having the race, and they were already blocking off roads that would be used for the track.

3. Hmmm. DC tried something like this a few years ago.
Didn't go over well at all. People nearby got real annoyed with the sounds and the smells. I don't think it will work.

4. the surrounding roads would be a nightmare
the beltway, 95 and the JFX would be parking lots for a week. I'd love to see the IRL come to baltimore too, but the traffic... :scared:

Not to mention of course all the road repairs that would have to be done in the months prior that would also tie up traffic.
