As a result of the recent storms The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) and Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) has been advised of many barn collapses at different locations in the state with resultant trapped and injured animals. MDA has been asked to develop a Statewide list of large animal veterinarians and veterinary technicians that would be available to assist in extracting and treating the animal's injuries. One location we are especially looking for help in currently is in Queen Anne County in the Church Hill area. There may be others as we receive more reports.
