ran into Senator Mikulski at the deli counter earlier today
It was at Eddie's on Charles street, east of Towson. I thanked her for looking out for us during the recent debt discussions. She showed me her pager, said that no one (Senate) had left town and she was waiting for a message in case she had to leave for DC. She seemed really frustrated with the Republicans, described them as rigid. I said to her, they remind me of a cult!

I've admired her for a long time, so it was a real honor to meet her and have a short conversation.
