Patrick wants detainees from immigration raid kept in Mass.
BOSTON -- Gov. Deval Patrick urged federal authorities to not move any more factory workers detained in an immigration raid out-of-state until their children are located and arrangements are made for their care.

More than 300 people were detained for possible deportation as illegal aliens in a raid at a New Bedford leather maker. About 150 of them have been flown from the former Fort Devens military base to a detention center in Texas, the governor said.

"I urged the federal government to stop all flights out of Fort Devens immediately until we can be assured that all parents have been identified and appropriate arrangements made for their children and dependents," Patrick said at a Statehouse news conference.

Federal authorities halted a third flight that was scheduled to depart at noon, he said.

At least 60 of the 327 people detained from Tuesday's raid at Michael Bianco Inc. have been released for humanitarian reasons, most related to child care issues, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

1. So...
first he rescinds Romneys EO that would allow the MA State Police to detain illegal aliens because it's the Feds job, but now he's commenting on how the Feds should conduct their operations.

3. Obvious solution here ...
This one came to me when I heard the bullshit crocodile tear story given by the company owner about the plight of those "loyal employees" kids.
I am surprised noone has thought of it.
Since our glorious courts have saw fit to release the scumbag owner of this pathetic sweatshop, it would only seem right that all those misplaced bambinos should move right on in with the owner in that plush Pembroke mansion. Surely there are plenty of spare rooms in that spread for a few hundred homeless kids to ride out the legal process.
It would only be the right thing.
Show us how big that asswipes heart realy is.
