Should Kerry run for Gov in 2006?
Just a thought I had while thinking about the idea that we need to make the blue states bluer and circle the wagons so to speak to ensure at least we in the blue states can maintain good government as the national Repub party decimates the national programs. They're calling this idea Neo Federalism over in dailykos (the motto being along the lines, End Red State wellfare)

But maybe we need to keep Kerry in the Senate. I was just interested in what people thought of the idea of Kerry running for Gov in 2006. Seems like it would be a sure bet to regain the governor's office.

4. Massachusetts and the country need John F. Kerry in the . . .

U.S. Senate. Why should he step down, politically, from the U.S. Senate to the Massachusetts governor's corner office? Typically, the move is made the other way around from gubernatorial office to the U.S. Senate.

As for the governor's seat, Romney is g-o-n-e! Mittens has seen his day. I believe we fully understand that Mittens has used, is using, and will continue to use our governor's seat for an attempted climb up and elsewhere. No doubt about it. Mittens has pandered his religious views in the Wall Street Journal op-ed pages, before the U.S. congress, on national television and b4 the Republican National Convention 2004.

We, here, in Massachusetts dislike panderings to religions for personal political fulfillment!

There are plenty of Dems around who could knock Romney off his pontificating throne. Let the games begin.

6. Someone "better'? He has the most liberal voting record in the Senate.
(That's one of the few things the repubs said about him that wasn't a lie.)

8. It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't completely the truth either
He was number one Liberal in 2003, but that wasn't based on very many votes.

Overall he's something like eleventh, but that doesn't sound as dramatic, does it.

And hawkish to boot. Not to mention voting for budget reductions with both the Democrats and the Republicans.

Can one be hawkish and liberal? I never thought about it before. What exactly makes someone a liberal in foreign affairs.

Greetings Massachusettians. Wisconsinite here. I envy you your Senator (or rather Senators). Of course, my Senator ain't nuthin' to sneeze at neither (God bless Russ Feingold).

Take care of our Johnny for the next four years if things don't work out election-wise. I will be hoping to see him in '08.

9. Fiscal cons and Mitt
The "fiscal conservative" label is kind of a hoax. Every Republican president we have had over the last 24 years has run us into deficit. WHen conservatives voted for Bush they lost all respect in the fiscal hawk category.

I'd say that belong in the chickenhawk category. I keep asking all the Bush supporters if they plan on enlisting and that really seem to piss them off.

Their small government rhetoric is alos another hoax. As of late they seem to be addicted to big government.

I got Romney in my sights and he's gonna be shippin out in two years. That's if he has the balls to run again. I keep hearing he might leave rather than face an embarassing re-election bid.

10. He just said he'll stay & run
On NPR I heard Romney will finish out his term til 06 and claims he'll run again. I think he'll jump ship at that point for something in the Bush administration, in order to get more national exposure for his 08 pres. run.
