My mother just got back from the Kerry Rally @ Joe Louis!

My 69 year old mother just got back from downtown, working as a volunteer for the Rally! She's been downtown since 12:00....
Stevie was in good voice...
Kerry was in good voice too, just whipping up the voters to get out tomorrow. We got good coverage on channel 7.
Hey! She saw Peter Jennings!
I'm so proud of her.....

2. Sorry, Mom not great at

"crowd estimates". She just says that the place was packed, but they didn't turn anyone away. Don't know the capacity of the "Joe". She was hobknobbing with the journalists, don't you know....

4. I'd say about 15 Thousand

The lower bowl of the arena was not densely packed full. There were a couple of sections where they didn't seat anybody. The upper bowl was closed off, but there were 2 or 3 Thousand more on the floor. There was probably close to 15,000. Certainly no less than 10,000.
