9th District candidates' forum this Sunday
Nancy and Pan will definitely be there, but we're not sure if Joe will be attending. The topic to be discussed will be the war in Iraq. Here is the notice:

"The Huntington Woods Peace, Citizenship and Education Project along with Workmen's Circle/ Arbeter Ring is holding a Candidates Forum on July 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30p.m.

This will be held at Workmen's Circle/ Arbeter Ring, 26341 Coolidge Hwy, Oak Park. (The building is South of 11 Mile Rd, on the west side of the street.) Bagels will be served.

The three candidates running in the Aug.8 Primary in Michigan's 9th US Congressional District have been invited: Pam Godchaux and Rep. Joseph Knollenberg, both bidding for the Republican nomination in the 9th district (which has historically gone
G.O.P.); and Nancy Skinner, the unapposed Democratic nominee."
