ANOTHER Horrible DeVos Phone Call; DeVos as Vicious Threat
Now the knives are really coming out; DeVos is getting desperate, and now--because DeVos is DeVos--it is going to get ugly and threatening. This is a phone message I got today, on Caller I.D. as "Number Unknown," and yet again the all-male modern Republican Party uses a "woman's voice" to read their master's copy, and attack the woman Governor. This time not a snotty-sounding teenager, but now a snippy-sounding "adult."

THE PHONE MESSAGE: "Good news is--the debates are over. Bad news? Granholm is still Governor. But Granholm has shown that she can't let go of her loony liberal policies. Granholm is even trying to cover up her mismanagement resulting in the death of Ricky Holland, and on top of that, is her failure at jobs. Granholm doesn't support the jobs bank, and keeps vetoing drug-testing for welfare recipients. Jennifer Granholm has also made Michigan one of the only two States that has no time-limit for welfare. This message brought to you by Michigan Working Families."

Let's go over this: First, there is that unbelievable tone of voice used by the operative--snotty, and derisive. The part about welfare time-limits is said, like, "no TIME-LIMIT...(pause)... for WELFARE," like the speaker is so incredulous and can hardly even believe it. Granholm "doesn't support THE JOBS BANK," whatever the fuck that is, and we are supposed to be "appalled" because of the leading, "shocked" tone. Once again, the DeVos Devils are hoping that you are too busy to be reading, following, learning about the issues, and that they will string you along with some overstated "semi-hysterical" voice, attacking something you never heard of, as if it were a great, important program that works, but that Granholm opposes for some reason, that "everyone else" supports. What the fuck is "the jobs bank"? I never heard of it; more DeVos phony shit. Thank God Granholm opposes the degrading, money-wasting Republican scheme of "drug-testing" welfare recipients--(let's drug-test capitalists who want to expand their corporations globally)--and opposes time-limits for welfare for poor people who need it. I guess the scheme to shift all these people who probably do not even have transportation to poverty-level wage jobs, so they will now have even less, officially failed. By the way, there are no time-limits on the attempted permanent cut of the estate tax for DeVos and friends.

Notice with a chill, how they are accusing Granholm of a murder...If this doesn't take you back to the scariest days of the persecution of the Clintons in the White House, that they "murdered" their friend Vince Foster, who as a matter of fact committed suicide largely because of vicious Republican poisoning of the entire world of politics, then I don't know what will. This is a sin. Remember yet again, these rich Republican capitalists didn't get where they are by anything other than murderous throat-slitting, and if--God help us--DeVos is "elected," then this is what the people of Michigan will get, every time they try to complain.

1. The "job banks" Are just a republican myth to make compassionate
christens think welfare people have 1000,s of jobs to pick from and they refuse to accept the jobs offered. Having dealt with "work first", what they do is have welfare mothers and fathers show up 5 days a week 8 hours a day, to teach them interview skills, resume writings, filling out an app, internet job searching, ie.... Monster . com, Career opportunities from yahoo, then send them out to put apps in or do interviews until they get employed somewhere. Another words scam job on the poor. Meanwhile while mom or dad or both are doing these things, the kids are left at home to care for themselves. Then when all else fails and the person can not find gainful employment in their area, "work first" then starts pushing them into moving to another city or state that has better employment opportunities.

As far as time limits on welfare, isn't that kind of stupid when people are faced with the fact that theres few jobs and 1000's of people show up for each job opening? Not to mention more factory jobs are disappearing so whats left job wise? This is puke thinking at its best.
