Who wants to picket Coleman's office with "Coleman Soft on Treason" signs
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 11:51 PM by GeorgeBushytail
I bet tv stations would send news crews out to film that. It would be nice to have pictures of this picketing for Coleman's re-election race.

Nice weather this weekend. Perfect for taking a stroll with fellow DUer's while holding signs tormenting Coleman.

Think about it. I guarantee you'll have fun doing it. If you've never picketed this would be a very satisfying way to begin.

I'd get this going but I am physically disabled with Central Pain Syndrome. I am a keyboard activist. Throwing this idea into this forum is my act for today.

I double-dog-dare guys to do this. Let's show these thugs that Democrats have teeth.

2. Hmmm. That would make a good sign for a freeway overpass!
Good idea to picket but it is against the law to picket in front of the building that houses Coleman's office.

I was with a group that delivered some petitions to Coleman's Office in May and they didn't even want us waiting in front for the entire group to arrive.

3. Picketing his office is out. Highway sign sounds cool. Other ideas?
"Good idea to picket but it is against the law to picket in front of the building that houses Coleman's office."

How about picketing some other place? His house? Some other Republican's office? Busy corner on Hennepin Avenue?

Thanks for the positive reactions to the idea.

4. i'd be up for that...but i'm not back in MN till september
anyway, this is why i like college protest groups better. when they said we couldn't occupy coffman union, you know what we did? we went in anyway. the worst they are going to do is keep you in jail for a night, maybe a fine. and think of all the publicity you'd get.

i realize it's a chance that not everybody is willing to take. most college kids don't have jobs to worry about and stuff, so i'm assumiing thats' why we're more likely to take the plunge into CD. anyway, that's the end of me saying what i was saying. just don't be put off by something becauuse you're not allowed to do it. :-)

5. It's not the job I'd be worried about
it's the child.

I wouldn't go to jail just so I could hold a sign protesting Coleman for five minutes. That would just tickle him. It would have to be for a larger specific purpose.
