X-Country PEACE bicycle ride crossing Southern Minn ???

Does anyone remember anything about this?

IIRC, there was a group of bicyclists riding across the country for PEACE. They were scheduled to cross Southern Minnesota (stopover in Winona) in early Fall. They were inviting local cyclists to ride along with them. (It may be too late. The St Paul Classic reminded me of this ride).

I remember seeing this on DU, but cannot find anything about it in the Minnesota or Bicycling Forums.

Anyone?

They are arriving in Winona on Sat. Sept 3rd!
I've E-Mailed them asking to join them for about 20 miles into Winona.
I'm planning on putting my bike on the roof and driving down to Winona.

I have room for 2 more bikes.

They arrived in Winona this afternoon after a 90mile leg. Their group is down to 3 riders, but welcome anyone who wants to ride with them the whole distance or part of the way.

They will rest tomorrow, and depart Sunday morning at 9AM toward Chicago where they plan on meeting with Cindy Sheehan's Group who are scheduled to be in Chicago at the same time. After Chicago, they plan on DC for the 22nd, a BIG Critical Mass Ride for Peace on the 23rd, and the Peace Rally on the 24th. (I am fantasizing a plan to drive down with my bike to meet them in DC.)

I plan on driving to Winona late Saturday night or early Sunday morning to meet with these riders. I may try to ride a few miles with them if I can keep up.

I have volunteered to do some daily updates with maps and ETA's into towns along their route, plus contact work with local Media, Bike Clubs and Bike Shops along the route.

Will they be taking Highway 61 or go along the Wisconsin side towards LaCrosse and hit the rail to trail towards Reedsburg, WI?
