Poor sad Timmy
On a day when DFL gubernatorial candidate Mike Hatch locked up his third quick labor endorsement, an uncharacteristically downbeat Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty acknowledged that his party is "on the ropes" nationally and that he would consider himself "lucky to get reelected."

1. WCCO4 News last night covering Kelly said Bush supporters in trouble..
They also said that he is being defeated strictly on his endorsement of Bush (probably an overstatement) and therefore anything he tries to come up with to save himself will be too late.

RIP MN co opted GOP including Kelly and flip-flopper, lowest form of the political opportunists Coleperson.

2. I heard on mpr.....
A mayor poll in St. Paul resulted in

68% for Chris Coleman
22% for Republican Randy Kelly

I can't find the link though. I hope I was not dreaming, I was half asleep when I heard it.

Somebody tell me my dreams came true!

3. You weren't dreaming.
But your hearing was a bit funky :)

"Former City Council Member Chris Coleman has amassed a commanding lead in the St. Paul mayor's race, opening a 61 percent to 28 percent advantage over incumbent Randy Kelly, according to a poll conducted this week for the Pioneer Press...

-snip-

Although respondents expressed general satisfaction with the way the city is being run, they clearly were swayed by Kelly's endorsement of Republican President Bush in August 2004. Nearly three in five — 57 percent — said it made them less likely to vote for Kelly. Only 10 percent said it would make them more likely to vote for the incumbent mayor.

"It's a staggering result," University of Minnesota political science professor Larry Jacobs said of the wide gap. "This is the first time in over three decades that an incumbent St. Paul mayor seems to be heading not just for a defeat, but a trouncing."

5. The Liberation of Saint Paul is at hand
The English language doesn't contain words for the breadth and depth of my contempt for Randy Kelly, so suffice it to say I'm looking foraward to the liberation of my beloved city on November 8.

6. Timmy the Tool
Pawlenty called Hatch a "very divisive and polarizing force" and said that for Hatch to say he could be a healing force to bridge differences in a deeply split state was "not a very credible claim."

Is there any Republican that DOESN'T suffer from projection?

Timmy has done nothing but bash Democrats and Democratic initiatives - how on earth does he feel like he can call someone else "divisive and polarizing"???
