One more day 'til St. Paul is liberated!
I saw Randy Quisling Kelly downtown last winter. I told him to start updating his resume because he would be unemployed after November.

Post your positive thoughts for Chris Coleman, the next mayor of St. Paul here. Or your parting shots for a certain soon-to-be jobless B*shbot. Either one's good.

Only wish I could vote against him...
Instead I'm forced to decide between two Dems in Mpls. I'm leaning towards Ryback but would be open to McLaughlin if anybody has any good reasons.

I Like Ryback's environmental stand. This guy drives a Prius, walks the same lake I do, and runs on of the first US cities to meet Kyoto standards.

4. I'm voting for Rybeck.
McLaughlin seems to be a slick Hennepin County mudslinger to me. Hey, RT gave us a police escort for our anti war protest. You have to love him for that. :-)

23. Yes, I couldn't find any reason to dump RT, and McLoughlin didn't
convince me that he would be any better.

But we are lucky in Minneapolis to have TWO DFLers running for mayor and no Republicans. :7

1. Unfortunately I can't vote in Saint Paul, but I'll be glad to see justice
served.

So long Mr. Kelly :hi:

3. I have a Republican Randy sign in my yard - we remember
And I'll be happy to see the Quisling hit the streets.

On a separate note, I got a desperate flyer pasted to my windshield while I was in church on Sunday from Minnesotans Concerned for Life, stating that Life was the only issue in the St. Paul mayor's race, and so therefore I should vote for Randy Kelly.

Pathetic.

10. I love those signs!
One of the houses across the street from my building has one in the yard. And Coleman signs outnumber Kelly signs by a 15 to 1 margin, if not greater (Crocus Hill/Selby-Dale neighborhood).

I'm a new St. Paul resident, and it will be MY PLEASURE to do my part in getting rid of Republican Randy tomorrow.

11. What can a city mayor do on the abortion issue anyway?
Absolutly NOTHING. You should not vote anyone in our out of mayor of any city on that issue. It is way beyond their office.

12. For them, it's all about manipulation
They attempt to encourage people to embrace their inner ignoramus and vote on issues that are completely meaningless to the office.

16. I completely disagree
Yes, mayors usually have little to do with the abortion issue, but current mayors sometimes run for higher office. See Norm Coleman (ex St. Paul mayor) for an example of this. It is in local races where candidates can prove their viability to their party and build their base in order to run for higher office.

Remember -- all politics is local. Today's library board member may be tomorrow's senator or president.

24. I never referred to the ladder approach
I am well aware that local offices are often stepping stones. I was talking about this specific stepping stone. Local mayors can do pretty much squat with the abortion issue.

18. You know what
That church should lose it tax exempt status. If they want to back a candidate, they are free to do so if they pay taxes. That shit pisses me off.

:hi: It is just delicious to see the fruits of Kelly's ass kissing endorsement come back to bite him.

The next goal is sending Normie his pink slip.

Kelly will end up with something, though. Junior is loyal to all his minions.

7. I've been waiting even longer. Voted against him last time and
I'll be voting against him again tomorrow. And Oreo and Mzmolly, I'll be thinking of you when I cast my vote so you can consider yourselves as having cast 1/3 of a vote against RK if that helps at all. ;)

You're right about Kelly ending up with another job though. I kind of hope he winds up as Normie's campaign manager. Bwahahahah! How appropriate. As if I needed another reason to campaign against Normie.

8. err, you might want to ask Harriet Miers about that loyalty bit
Although I think he'll end up working for TCF banks, just like every other two-bit GOP failure in this state does when they're chased out of public office.

14. I heard an excerpt from an interview with Kelly on the Current....
He said that he knew many St. Paulites were unhappy with him because he endorsed Chimpy and that if that proves to be more important than all the swell stuff he's done for St. Paul, then he will lose.:nopity:

17. Well, duh.
Kelly should understand that nothing else matters if he allies himself with corrupt politicians whose entire mantra is about pulling the wool over regular peoples' eyes and destroying the common good by shuffling all benefit and money to the top.

I'm going to stay home watch results (I've got a long day tomorrow at the lawyer factory and a bottle of cheap champagne in the fridge), but I thought some of you socialable types might want to know about it.
