MINNESOTANS TO SPEAK OUT ON REVERSE ROBIN HOOD BUDGET
Mock Thanksgiving feast, Empty plates for all but rich cronies

Twin Cities MoveOn members will gather at Sen. Norm Coleman’s office and the Hennepin County Service Center on Wednesday, Nov. 16, to demand that Sen. Norm Coleman and Rep. Jim Ramstad continue to oppose the Republican leadership's budget plan to cut $50 billion in aid to the poor and middle class to pay for the next $70 billion in tax cuts to the wealthy.

WHO: Twin Cities MoveOn Political Action members and Sen. Coleman’s and Rep. Ramstad’s constituents

WHAT: They will set up a mock Thanksgiving dinner where regular Americans face empty plates while the Republicans’ rich cronies feast. Medicaid and student loan recipients will speak about their personal experiences.

WHEN and WHERE:

St. Paul Event: 10 a.m., outside Norm Coleman’s Office, 2550 University Avenue W.

Minnetonka Event: 12:30 p.m., outside the Hennepin County Service Center, 12601 Ridgedale Drive

Hah. Didn't think so. But I did. Fox 9 was the only media that showed up for our protest against the Republican's Reverse Robin Hood budget.

We had several good speakers and good visuals. Got our message out in 20 minutes flat due to the cold. :-)
