More GOP dishonesty in St. Cloud campaigns
In addtion to the dispute over Sue Ek's residency, the other GOP candidate in the Dec 27 special election has been busted doctoring photos in his campaign literature, possibly in violation of campaign laws.

The core theme of Republican State Senate candidate Dan Ochsner's campaign is "Central Minnesota's Voice of Integrity." However, a look at Ochsner's campaign literature reveals him to be anything but honest.

One of Ochsner's literature pieces features a campaign rally picture that has clearly been doctored. While the rally appears to be for Ochsner, it is in fact a picture of a Bush/Cheney '04 rally that has been edited to replace Bush signs with Ochsner signs. A close-up view of the literature piece reveals that one Bush sign was not covered up, providing further evidence that this is a fabricated campaign rally. Worse yet, this forged picture is placed below Ochsner's claim that he is a "voice of integrity." Pictures are available at the end of this post.

This is a picture of a rally that never occurred. It has been doctored by the Ochsner campaign to provide the illusion of support that does not exist. Dan Ochsner cannot credibly claim to be a "voice of integrity" when his campaign is using doctored pictures of a fabricated rally in campaign literature.

Solid proof that the Ochsner campaign is using a doctored photo can be found in a picture on the University of Minnesota Morris College Republicans web site from the 2004 Bush rally. The picture features the same students found in the upper-right of Ochsner's doctored photo. This is completely ridiculous!

1. Norm doctored the St. Paul skyline in his 2002 campaign lit
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 03:56 PM by Minnesota Raindog
The Ochsner campaign literature Photoshopping isn't the first time a Republican has been caught red-handed altering photos to suit their political ends. Our favorite empty-suit senator Norm Coleman altered an image of the St. Paul skyline in a piece of campaign literature he sent out in 2002. They wiped out all the hideous billboards and building names that sprouted on the skyline under Norm's tenure as mayor to make the city look artificially more beautiful. Unfortunately, they also wiped out the Big Red One atop the First National Bank building, which is tantamount to airbrushing the Foshay Tower out of the Minneapolis skyline. The Pie-in-Ear Press was tipped off on the discrepency and gave Norm some unwanted Page 1 publicity on it. In typical GOP fashion, they blamed it on the out-of-state design firm where they took their business. See the photo for yourself here:

Feel free to let "The Ox" know what you think of his so-called "Voice of Integrity" (his campaign slogan) here:

2. They much teach this type of stealing in their training camps
Some other Republican got caught stealing a photo from a Dean rally. They photoshopped out Dean, put the Repug in, and even changed the signs. It was widely reported. I'm surprised they are still pulling the same crap.

It shows that:
All the creative people are on the left.
They can't get people at their rallies so they have to fabricate supporters.

The child in the picture is apparently his godchild.

And here's more about Ox's problems with his integrity.
