In addtion to the dispute over Sue Ek's residency, the other GOP candidate in the Dec 27 special election has been busted doctoring photos in his campaign literature, possibly in violation of campaign laws.
The core theme of Republican State Senate candidate Dan Ochsner's campaign is "Central Minnesota's Voice of Integrity." However, a look at Ochsner's campaign literature reveals him to be anything but honest.
One of Ochsner's literature pieces features a campaign rally picture that has clearly been doctored. While the rally appears to be for Ochsner, it is in fact a picture of a Bush/Cheney '04 rally that has been edited to replace Bush signs with Ochsner signs. A close-up view of the literature piece reveals that one Bush sign was not covered up, providing further evidence that this is a fabricated campaign rally. Worse yet, this forged picture is placed below Ochsner's claim that he is a "voice of integrity." Pictures are available at the end of this post.
This is a picture of a rally that never occurred. It has been doctored by the Ochsner campaign to provide the illusion of support that does not exist. Dan Ochsner cannot credibly claim to be a "voice of integrity" when his campaign is using doctored pictures of a fabricated rally in campaign literature.
Solid proof that the Ochsner campaign is using a doctored photo can be found in a picture on the University of Minnesota Morris College Republicans web site from the 2004 Bush rally. The picture features the same students found in the upper-right of Ochsner's doctored photo. This is completely ridiculous!
