Against Michele "Shrubbery" Bachmann and a host of other freaks and weirdos.
I am SO happy somebody decent is running against Tinklenberg in the primaries. The fact that he's in lock step with Janet Roberts as an anti-choice Dem has nothing to do with it. It's his mismanagement of MNDOT that made me dislike him before I even knew he was a Dem.
This is the guy that approved closing 62 down for 3 years to widen 35W. He's also the one that fought tooth and nail against the ramp meter studies which have saved me about 20 minutes in commute time a day.
Go get em Patty!

WASHINGTON — Patty Wetterling, who dropped out of the U.S. Senate race last month, will announce Friday that she is running for Congress in the 6th Congressional District, a rival said.
Democratic congressional candidate Elwyn Tinklenberg told The Associated Press Thursday that Wetterling informed him that she has decided to run against him and will make the announcement on Friday.
Wetterling's Senate campaign manager, Carol Butler, declined to comment Thursday, except to say that Wetterling will make an announcement on Friday.
Tinklenberg said he told Wetterling he was disappointed in her decision, because she had previously assured him she would not run for the seat.
