City-Wide Anti-War Rally March 18th (3rd Anniversary of Invasion)
Saturday 3/18 @ 1pm @ the library at Lagoon/Hennepin Aves. S., Mpls. (end location TBA)

Organizers include Anti-War Committee, Twin Cities Peace Campaign/Focus on Iraq, Veterans for Peace, and WAMM

The time is 1 PM. :-)

There is also going to be a youth bloc for students which will start at the Recruitment Station at Lake and Lyndale (at 12 I believe, but I'll get back if I'm wrong)and will later join the main rally. The youth bloc is organized by YAWR, the group who did a lot of the work for the walkout back in November.

5. Thanks for the notice.
I just mentioned it to Mr. Z. and am thinking I would like to have the Zoo children come along, too. We'll have to think about the logistics.

I will definitely spread the word!

Enough is enough...the time is NOW!

6. That would be great! I'm going to beg all my friends to come out, too.
The weather prediction for next Saturday is mid-40s, partly sunny. I hope it turns out to be another 60 degree day.

7. bump
Just giving it a bump, since it's coming up fast. This should be "the big one" for the twin cities this year. Hope the weather cooperates.

9. i think you're right
Plus, I have to remember Minnesotans aren't as scared of the cold as people in the part of PA I'm from are.

10. Do you want to meet up around 12:45 right in front of the big letters?
The sidewalk will be filled with people but we should be able to spot each other. I drove past the library the other day and did not see a coffee shop or other likely spot.

11. i think there is a "tea house" not far away
I'm in Uptown like weekly, but I guess I never pay enough attention.

I'm actually going to be joining the youth bloc at 12. It's a highschool thing, but the highschoolers in the anti-war movement are just really energetic and very passionate, and we'll be marching there to get there at 1. I'll probably see you guys there though.

12. Certainly! I may be marching fast since I
have to go to a wedding at 4 p.m.

Would not miss this for the world, though.

14. Mr. Z. and at least one Zoo kid....
wants to go tomorrow. However, after a winter of nursing a household of flu, cold, more cold, and stomach flu sufferers, I finally succumbed yesterday and now have a doozy of a cold myself. I will have to see wait and see how I feel tomorrow morning. If I (or we) make it, I'll meet you there! :hi:
