Is anyone watching (Did anyone watch) "Martin Luther King's Lost Speech" on TPT?
This is from late 1967. He's talking not only about civil rights, but the economic injustices that prevailed then and still occur. He refers to the ghetto as "a colony" and talks of discouraged workers and paying higher prices for lower quality. He calls for a guaranteed annual income and states that solving the problems of poverty will cost billions. "The U.S. is on the wrong side of a worldwide revolution," he says in reference to the Vietnam War.

No wonder he was assassinated. :-(

We may have African-American celebrities and government officials, but too much of what King says in this speech is still true.

1. I cought it...
They made clear that the film quality was not the best, and parts of the editing had got to me.

Now, the speech was great. I am sure that it will get replayed and tossed up on youtube soon.
