That's Tom Barnard's claim he made on his KQRS radio show this AM.

If he's not joking, it'd be cool if he and his cohorts quit KQRS and start their own radio station and blather about nothing all day long...

Is his daily bleating even considered working?

He's also moaning about the price of diesel; first nagging on the Dems' tax hike but then he or one of his buds said the problem with diesel started in 2004 (which was before the Dems took control in 2006).

2. I've learned that my blood pressure stays lower if I keep my radio
tuned to the left end of the dial: the Current, KFAI, and KBEM, or the extreme right end, KSJN (classical).

Gee, I remember when KQRS played only the finest album rock.

MPR is great anyway, why tune into anything else.

We are truly blessed with a great public radio station here in MN.

3. Tom Does Own His Own Business
He works as an independent contractor when he does all his voice over work. That would mean he works for himself. Not defending Tom, just stating a fact.

4. I could care less.
His absurd posturing towards us common folk reeks to me: Dumb jokes, stupid characterizations, and right wing talking points are all we get from this washed up-has been. Between trying to sound vaugely folkish he boasts about who he was playing golf with and pushes to sink more money into college athletics somehow convincing himself that it will pay for the rest of the school somehow. Frankly if it was so damned lucrative, why isn't it already paying for everything?

I think KQRS could sell more ad space if they changed their motto to "More music, less Bull" and cancelled contracts with Tom.

5. Barnyard used to be decent...
Then he got mixed in with the likes of the non thinking Sansevere types.. thinkers like stretch (I dont even know if stretch is still on the show) got drowned out by sheer volume. Passolt doesnt like thinking either. Can Tony Lee for some reason and all that is left is the void of thought Terri Traen.

I would love to own my own business and work my keister off at it, but unfortunately I am held hostage by the need for health care for my family. If my family's health care were guarenteed I would definately take the chance and own my own business.

8. Who wouldn't?

More people would do their own business, raise families, and so on, if circumstances were different. :(
