2. He's not,
Edited on Sun Jul-13-08 10:24 AM by Love Bug
he's just pointing out the inconsistency of a Green Party candidate who doesn't agree with man-made climate change, that's all. "Know thy enemy" and all that, although I think 'enemy' is not a word I would use for the Greens, but youknowwhatImean.

4. It's pretty clear that the Green Party in Minnesota has nothing to do
with the original ideals of the Green Party, not when a global warming denier can get nominated.

7. Another example why the Green Party isn't green...
More examples here:

http://greenpartygonebad.blogspot.com/

When Dean Zimmermann returned from prison last week, the media called him an environmentalist. The truth is his record was so bad, he lost the Sierra Club North Star's endorsement.

People used to ask me if Zimmermann was really a Republican.

Here is Zimmermann's sorry environmental record:

Here's pictures of Dean Zimmermann working with his pal Rep. Mark Olson:

9. Why all these nutcases are running as Greens: my theory
In the Twin Cities proper, the DFL is so strong that Republicans are basically unelectable. However, there are a lot of people with environmental concerns, so I assume that some Republicans decided to run as Greens to get into office by pretending to be leftists. The Greens here must not vet their candidates too closely.

This isn't the case everywhere. The Greens I knew in Portland were actual environmentalists and labor activists and merged with the Pacific Party, which was socialist, to form the Pacific Greens. They were getting elected to things like soil conservation districts and actually doing some good.

But here, I think they're a cover for stealth Republicans.
