I think Normie's running a push poll
I got a polling call today that started out like a legitimate call until it got to the section where the pollster would read a question and I was suppose to tell him whether it would make me more or less apt to vote for Franken or not affect my vote at all. I can't remember the exact wording but they went something like this:

"If you knew Al Franken had had to pay back taxes and penalties in 17 states would it make you etc..."
"If you knew Al Franken had to pay $25,000 to the state of New York becasue he didn't have Worker's Comp coverage on employees..."
(On those two I told the guy I've been paying attention and they would not affect my vote.)

"If you knew Al Franken wants to use YOUR TAX money to pay for health care for everyone..." (On this one I said it would make me more apt to vote for him and I really wished it was Franken's position.)

There were a couple other questions that were as bad as these - but at least on this one the pollster didn't call me a damn liberal and hang up on me like the guy did two years ago when I didn't take their bait.

And, earlier in the survey I was asked to give a couple short sentences describing what I thought of Normie. My response was "Weasel." There was some silence and the guy said "Anything else?" So I added "Bush Stooge".

1. Well-played.
And sure as hell it's a push poll. Norm is not only a weasel; he has weasels working for him.

2. IN 2004 while working for Patty Wetterling
Sitting in my kitchen, talking to the Press Director and the Campaign Manager, I received a poll call from Mark Kennedy's people...

It was enlightening to say the least. WE got all of the call recorded too.

4. A couple of the other questions finally bubbled back into my conscious this morning
"If you knew Al Franken opposes the gas tax holiday that would give immediate relief to working families.."

"If you knew Al Franken wants to give amnesty to 10 million illegal immigrants..." (I think they said 10 million, it might have been a gazillion, brazillian "illegal immigrants" - it would make as much sense)

On the first one I said no difference, on the second one I said more apt to vote for him and opined that these are both totally bogus issues.

I think I'll have to call Normie's campaign and complain - and can a citizen file a complaint about unfair campaign tactics?
