Almanac - 3rd District Debate Video (& Al Segment)

We watched the 3rd district "debate" this morning from last night. I really only watch Almanac during elections, but I've seen better debates on it (what was Eskola's purpose?! I don't know the Farrah Fawcett woman). Honestly, it seemed like a good portion was: who's most like Jim Ramstad (I'm sorry, did I miss that this is the Jim Ramstad Honorary Representative Seat?)...and Paulsen's dramatic whipping-out-a-press release (whatever)...and all these references to "demographics" and how Madia doesn't fit. Anyway, we were disgusted and donated more to Madia.

(Oh, and there's a segment with Al Franken on 3 Influences that's worth seeing too.)

1. I kind of get a bang out of Paulsen's ad that criticizes Madia for lying about voting for Bush.

Sure, he shouldn't have lied - but I'll be a lot of people do when it comes to admitting to voting for Bush. And really, who can blame them?

It just seems odd that the Repukes want to remind us that people will lie about who they voted for in 2000 and 2004.

Oh, and I heard at my Senate District meeting the other evening that Madia is ahead in the polls and that the RCCC is pulling it's money out of the 3rd District to concentrate on Bachmann's race.
