Al Franken needs volunteers to observe the recount.
"Be A Volunteer Observer: These volunteers will be trained to observe the counting, identify ballots in question, and articulate the basis for the challenge. We need people who can attend a training this coming weekend, stand on their feet for hours at a time, and volunteer for multiple days or weeks throughout the recount process. Please go to www.alfranken.com/recounthelp right now to volunteer."

Campaign Manager
Al Franken for Senate

I read that Norm will have "120 lawyers" to cover every recount facility...will they be staying with supporters? Probably not (oh, wait, unless it's Norm's landlord).

7. Because of my recent unemployment I would have time to do this
but I can't stand on my feet for hours on end.

8. I don't see why you couldn't bring a chair into the room,

...even though the description says having to stand for hours.

I'm skeptical that they would tell someone who says he or she needs a chair because of a physical limitation "No chairs for you!" though I don't know.
