Al Franken needs volunteers to observe the recount.

"Be A Volunteer Observer: These volunteers will be trained to observe the counting, identify ballots in question, and articulate the basis for the challenge. We need people who can attend a training this coming weekend, stand on their feet for hours at a time, and volunteer for multiple days or weeks throughout the recount process. ...even though the description says having to stand for hours.

I'm skeptical that they would tell someone who says he or she needs a chair because of a physical limitation "No chairs for you!" though I don't know.
