I don't really know a thing about Ramsey County Attorney Susan Gaertner but anyone who sends me

an invitation announcing she's running for governor in 2010 and inviting me to a fundraiser barely two weeks after the last general election really, really annoys me. I'm not up to another two year campaign.

I also got a fundraising call from the DFL last weekend - I'm sure the party needs money, but this makes no sense to me. Especially with the holidays coming and the economy being what it is. You'd think they could use a little common sense. Would it kill them to wait until after the first of the year?

but it does seem a bit premature to start campaigning for anything. I doubt many people are willing, let alone able, to contribute money to any candidate right now. I'd be tempted to write back with a note telling her to wait awhile before dunning me for campaign contributions.

We can not allow a person who believes that planning to march on the RNC is the same thing as planning a terrorist attack to be our next Governor. I know Mark Dayton is running against her in the primaries for sure, and it is very possible some other candidates could jump in as well. I know that whatever problems I had with Dayton are minor compared to the problems I have with someone who is trying to criminalize dissent, and I will do anything I can to stop Gaertner from getting the nomination.

Gaertner failed in protecting the Constitution.

Gaertner has used those protesting during the RNC and charging them with trumped up charges to get money from local business. I would love it if people go to Gaertner's gig and them her you want to to drop all charges against those arrested during the RNC and that her push to prosecute is an embarrassment to MN and St. Paul. It is a waste of our Tax Dollars, is tying up the courts and is tying up the lives of those only wish to speak out and for civil disobedience.
The sooner she drops all the charges the less history will remember St Paul RNC 08.

She is not the only one to blame. Mayor Rybak, Mayor Coleman, Police Chief Harrington all are to blame. They let our state and cities to be taken over by the incompetent Homeland Security.

I observed her when she was an asst. Ramsey County Attorney, prosecuting murder cases.
She got some very, very bad people sent away for a very long time.

I recall back then saying that I would vote for her no matter the office. If her name is on the ballot, I'm voting for her.

I think it's terrific that she's running.

I received an invitation to $100 per person fund raiser from him yesterday. This one is next week and is being held at someone's condo at the Carlyle.

This doesn't mean I won't vote him - I just think it doesn't make a lot of sense to send this stuff out a)right after the last election and b)before the holidays when c) the economy is tanking.

if the 2010 campaign could start sometime in 2009 and give us all a bit of a rest.
