So did anyone else get the Christmas card from the Matt Entenza/Lois Quam family?
And did anyone else let out a large snort when they read that Lois, a former VP at United Health Group, is now working on "health care reform"?

1. Nope...why did she leave United Health?
Voluntary or not?
He's still aiming for Governor, right?

2. I don't recall that I ever heard why she left
Edited on Tue Dec-23-08 09:28 PM by dflprincess
but I'm inclined to think it was voluntary. With all the stuff that came out about McGuire she and Entenza probably decided it would be best for his career if she got out of there (probably best hers as well).

He must be running for governor, why else would he send cards?

I gave up on him four years ago right after I was laid off. I ran into him at a DFL picnic and was telling him that people laid off at the same time I was were being paid their banked vacation time as well as severence but those of us in Minnesota were not getting that because state law does not require you get your vacation time. He said he was not aware of that and seemed interested until he asked me where I had been laid off from. As soon as I said "United Health Group" he couldn't get away from me fast enough.

3. They don't call him The Great Pretenza for nothing
Matt Entenza is the phoniest politician to come down the pike in many years. Blinded by his quest to be "something," he'd sell his mother down the river to get it. His wife hauled in tens of millions of dollars in stock options and salary while at United Health. Wonder why health care costs have gone through the roof? She headed up their seniors/Medicare division so she can thank seniors and the feds for those millions. That's what's bankrolling Pretenza's quest, and his little think tank, which he's populated with former reporters and is nothing more than a vehicle for his ambitions. The DFL should show this guy the door but they love his and Lois' fat checks.
