As soon as someone knows whether CD6 chooses Clark or Reed against Bachmann today, please post

Today's the DFL Congressional District 6 convention, and the main event will be the endorsement of either Tarryl Clark or Maureen Reed to go up against Michele Bachmann for the congressional seat. I got to speak at length with both candidates at the SD52 convention two weeks ago. Either of them would be a fine congresswoman, but I think Tarryl has the lead in delegates. I found Maureen to be very gracious and persuasive, but I was angered to hear that she may not abide by today's party endorsement.

I say the minute we have an endorsed candidate, it's time to hit the ground running and throw our support behind her.

I see it's not nearly so close as I'd thought:

At this stage, Tarryl Clark has the lead 61-22 in pledged delegates and today is the day. The only question is whether Tarryl win on the first ballot.

As I've said, I admire and respect Maureen Reed, but I hope she'll stand up in front of the convention and renounce the idea of a primary battle against Tarryl Clark. I'll stay tuned.

5. She stood up right before they announced Clark had won

and just said "thanks to supporters" then left. Very disappointing.
