Should I send this to the KQRS morning show?

Hey Tommy B! I listened to your show and was amazed when you said you're tired of the actions of politicians, both left AND right.. Given how you used to be a big leftie and, at least up to a few months ago, being an even bigger shill for the right, it's nothing less than monumental for you to admit you're pissed with everybody...

So I now need to ask, who are you going to vote and be a shill for this year? If you're sincere about your whining about everyone in politics (yeah, right), then you shouldn't be voting at all. Save your time. Make more jokes about farting instead, it's the only thing you've been consistent with over the years...

I will say this. If you vote for Bush again, he, Ashcroft, and Michael Powell (the FCC) will eventually come after you because you're not their type of republican. You'll be forced to turn your show from a combination of filthy jokes with filthy politics into nothing more than a filthy political show. Which is rather unfortunate (I love filthy jokes) and ironic (you vote for the people who are effectively against you and then say you have no choice because Kerry will (quoting YOU) "raise our taxes 95%" (sigh, you really are obtuse, aren't you?)... Self-delusion is a wonderful thing, isn't it?)...

Assuming we survive, Bush's Iraq debacle has probably created far more terrorists than it had prevented. I don't feel safer. Do our troops and contractors who got the lowest bid (and to those who didn't need to bid due to close ties with the Bush administration)? Do you feel safer?

You guys boast of having numerous listeners. Are they all as politically inconsistent as you are, or do they simply prefer your potty humor?

(I stayed away from the Iraq topic though I could grill his weenie royally thanks to the revelation of (not-to-be-relased) US troops taking pictures of the murders of Iraqi captives. On Tuesday, he was whining about how we liberals apparently don't care about Berg's slaughter but are up in arms about the misuse of a few prisoners. :eyes: (I'm angered by all of it, but the actions of our troops tenfold and with logical cause. We're supposed to be better. :eyes: )

1. Please do.
I almost never listen to KQ, mainly because I'm not really into the "classic rock" format. But occasionally I will come across it while channel hopping in the morning, and I can't listen for more than 2 minutes before Tom Barnyard makes me want to throw up. He's a fool who doesn't even know how he's being used to keep the masses ignorant. For wishing death upon Paul Wellstone, and then not even expressing remorse when the beloved senator DID die, Barnyard deserves nothing but scorn.

2. He used to be on the left?
I never knew.
:wow:

When I hear him going on about the necessity of this war, I get the urge to call and ask him what branch of the service his son will be enlisting in. I'm not sure how old the kid is, but he must be getting close to 18.

3. I stopped listening to the KQRS morning show when they...
were so overflowing with praise for Ari Fleischer. Quote Tom Bernar: "I love Ari. He's so truthful. Not like Clinton."

I angrily slammed my finger on the button and changed the station, then saved over the radio preset. Haven't listened to them since.

4. I hate morning shows, I just want tunes
I wonder if Tom Bernard's political views are really his own. If he was once a big leftie as you say, could that mean that someone higher up in his organization told him to shill for the right?

Not that I'd ever defend that slimeball. Ever since I was a captive audience listening to his show at work and heard an interview with a performer and the morning crew trashing the poor sap as soon as the interview was over.

I also despised the 5AM wakeup calls to various local celebs that KQ used to do. (really early 90s, I hope they don't still do this) How rude, and then to put the reactions on the radio.

5. His vitriol is too sincere. I don't think he's that good of an actor...
Let's face it. When the KQ morning show became big, wealth dirtied him and he switched over. That's my guess. But I do remember him talking during the 'crossover' phase about being disenfranchised with the D party... he's a phony though, little more.

It was around Election 2002 when he stopped shovelling the lie "I am a Democrat but I'm tired of what they're doing which is why I now vote Republican" (and give free time to them while bashing Dems, not giving them a chance to respond in fairness.)

Boatyard and the other show's DJs have a long list of horrible things they'd done. Prank gameshows on the homeless, 'multiple matrimonies', and so on. They claim to be pro-GLBT but over the last couple of months (I'd tuned out for a year), Boatyard's own commentary seems to come out a little more ice cold than appropriate for a supposedly humorous remark...
