DFL Central Committee delegates - who're you supporting for DFL chair?

I'm an alternate for my county unit, and a non-voting delegate by virtue of being a member of the Platform Commission. It's unlikely that I'll be upgraded to delegate at this coming Saturday's CC meeting, but just in case, I'd like to get a sense of who DU delegates are enthused about.

I'm inclined toward Peter Idusogie, whom I've met and spoken with in person on a few occasions, because he seems to have alot of energy for the job. I have some hesitation, however, because some of what I've heard him say didn't really jibe with my own take on some issues.

Is there someone else running that merits a closer look? Even if I can't vote, I'd like to get a sense of what other folks are thinking.

We're electing four state directors this Saturday. These positions were created at last state convention specifically for folks from under-represented communities.

Elections of officers including chair will take place at subsequent SSC meeting known as business conference which will probably be late May if not June.

For director I like Javier Morillo-Alicea, Santwana Dasgupta, Mohamed Jibrell, Nicque Mabrey and Peter Idusogie. But one only gets to vote for four, so we'll see. The DFL progressive caucus held a forum in early January, after which those attending voted to recommend
Javier, Santwana, and Mohamed. See

There are at least several other candidates out there but I don't really know them enough to comment.

Obviously, I haven't been paying close enough attention -- combination of general political burnout and some major personal life difficulties.

Good to "see" you again! The link goodhue gave is a good source to look. Also, the DFL will be electing new leadership at the business meeting later this year.

Will you be in Anoka on Saturday? I'm something like "5th alternate" in my SD, but I'll be there anyway, more than likely. The Progressive Caucus is hoping to get chartered as an official DFL club that day, so it will be quite a big deal for many of us!

Glad to "see" you, too! I really don't know about Saturday, to tell the truth. Although I had initially been planning on going, the way things are currently shaking out I probably won't make it. I don't want to go into any details, it's just that my life is going through a bit of a rough patch right now.

I'm confident that the Progressive Caucus will be duly chartered -- you all have been doing wonderful work!
