New Leads In Precious Doe Case Bring Cautious Optimism
Oklahoma Man Claims To Know Girl's Identity, Who Killed Her

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An Oklahoma man said Tuesday that he knows the identity of "Precious Doe" and the person who killed her, KMBC's Jim Flink reported.

In April 2001, a young girl was found decapitated in a wooded area near Hibbs Park at 59th Street and Kensington Avenue. Police have not been able to identify the girl, and there have been very few solid leads in the case since that time.

Now, a man in Muskogee, Okla., said he has new information to crack the case. The man saw a recent advertisement in the Kansas City Call newspaper and contacted activist Alonzo Washington in Kansas City.

Police are cautiously optimistic about the new information.

Anyone with information in the case can contact the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-8477. There is a $33,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
