Cheney to visit KC - hide your wallets, a crook is a'comin'!

Master Criminal and war profiteer Dick Cheney is bringing his odious presence to Kansas City, MO on Friday, January 6th .

If you want to 'welcome' the viciest vice president in history with signs and jeers, he'll be at the Harley-Davidson plant near KCI.

So I'm not sure where we'd park, or where they'd let us stand.

Bush was in KCMO a couple of years ago speaking at the Municipal Auditorium. It's a credit to the city that they didn't establish a free speech zone and let us protest right there - they just didn't want the sidewalks blocked, but the cops were fairly cooperative with us. Having a Democratic mayor helps, I guess.

Neither the news last night nor the blurb in the Star today give the time - no doubt they don't want a welcoming committee for the crook.

Looking for heroes and Harleys, Vice President Dick Cheney is scheduled to visit Kansas City and Fort Leavenworth on Friday.
The vice president�s office announced on Wednesday that Cheney will take a brief tour of the Harley-Davidson factory in Kansas City, North, on Friday morning before giving a short speech.

�The factory is a good example of how the president�s economic policy helps America�s workers and businesses,� a Cheney spokeswoman said.

Then shortly after noon Cheney plans to speak with soldiers at Fort Leavenworth �to commend them for their service in Iraq, Afghanistan and the global war on terrorism,� the spokeswoman said.

Neither event is open to the general public.

If he's going to be at Ft. Leavenworth at noon, I'm guessing he'll appear at the plant around nine o'clock or shortly thereafter to speak to carefully-selected Harley workers.
