McDonald County Democrat Meeting..

March 16, 2006 there will be a Democrat Club meeting in McDonald County. The meeting will be in Anderson, MO at TR's Southwestern Cafe, out W-76 Highway, at 6:30pm. If there are any Dems in McDonald County, you are welcome to the meeting! This meeting, will be the second that my wife, turtlelowe and myself will be attending...hope to see you there!

Who's all in this group? Are you the one that was talking to turtleone, about this?...my wife mentioned that someone in the missouri forum, wanted my wife to be in charge of like, a mac county group, or something like that.

I was the one talking to her. I set it up for her but need to explain how to use it, although it is pretty strait forward.

I doubt any of the other members even has a computer. Most of the other members are old enough to remember the dinosaurs, but I will mention it, along with democraticunderground.com. This will only be our second meeting, and I believe my wife and I were the two youngest, all the rest were well into the 60s, and higher...but I will mention it, no doubt about it...thanks..:)

My wife Tammy Peterson and I have been involved with democraticunderground.com since May of 2005. The website was founded in 2001, by a handful of liberals, and progressives. The site is pretty straightforward with many topic forums, including state forums. I have posted many times in the Missouri forum, and have posted Democratic Club meetings for McDonald County in that forum. The topic forums are vast, and the subject matter in those forums range from Abortion, Death Penalty, Gun Rights, Religion and Church, Terrorism, and GWB issues. There are to many forums for me to list, but there is something for everyone at this site. The site is very easy to understand, and its free, all you need to do is register for an account, and you can post replies and what not. If you don’t’ want to register, that is fine, you don’t need to be a member to read the topic threads. My screen name at this site is petersond, and my avatar image is the state of Alaska, and my wife’s screen name is turtlelowe. My wife’s coworker, recommended this site to us, and it’s been a god send, ever since the re-election of George W. Bush (Shrub). I was in a state of disbelief and this site helped me realize, that I wasn’t alone, in thinking that W was not all he was cracked up to be. At this site, you will come across a wide range of democrats, and other party members, and the opinions that you will come across, will not always be up to your understanding, or stand for what you believe in, but it’s a good site in sharing ideas, and being around people with like minds. Living in McDonald County, it didn’t take me long to realize that I was in a minority, being a democrat, and this site gave me strength to keep up the good fight.

This site is a yahoo.com group forum. Through our connections at the democraticunderground.com site, a member in the Missouri topic forum formed this yahoo group. This group was made for McDonald County, and my wife Tammy and I are members in this group, and so far there are only three of us. The other member is also a Missourian, but not from McDonald County. I have listed the Democratic Club Meeting for March 16th, 2006 at this site, on its calendar option (In truth I listed everything that was posted in the flier, that my wife and I received from the democrat club last week). There are quite a few things that can be done in this group, for example: Posting pictures of our group, coordinating with others in the county whom wish to know more about the Democratic Club in the county. It would be a very useful tool in organizing events, and spreading the democratic message abroad. In order to access this group, you need a yahoo.com account. It’s free to sign up, and the directions in signing up are very straightforward.
