the high school science club debate this year...

I wish I could tell you this is a joke, but on April 21, at 6:00 PM the high school science club in Sedalia will be sponsoring this 'debate':

It will be held in the school auditorium. James White from the alpha and Omega ministries will debate Jonathan Wright from some other ministries place over whether people are saved by grace or chosen by God. The club sponsor is Tim Hutchinson, one of the high school science teachers. (He doesn't have a teaching degree though..his degree is in theology). Mr. Hutchinson claims that this is a legitimate science debate because, "the science involved is the process that both sides use to interpret the Bible".

I know I have to do something about this, but people here don't even seem to get that there is anything wrong with a school science club hosting this 'debate' Sometimes I don't even know where to begin...
