Anyone from SW Missouri know Midge Potts?
She is here at Camp Casey and I have enjoyed getting to know her. She ran against Roy Blunt in the recent primary. A movie was made about her candidacy and will be coming out this fall. If it is as entertaining as Midge, it should be great.

This woman has a future in politics.

1. She's in the wrong party, it seems. Goes to show....
that the Republican party has moved so far right, that old time Republicans are now flaming liberals.

2. I just finished watching David Slavitt on BookTV..
he is a Republican (educated at Andover, Yale and Columbia Univ) who ran against a Democrat for a political office in Masasschusetts. He is a pro-choice and pro-gay marriage Republican. He lost in a landslide and wrote a book about it, "Blue State Blues." I came in at the end but he seems to be fiscally conservative but socially liberal.

If Midge Potts is like David Slavitt then it is a shame how far right the pugs and as a result, the Democrats, have gone. FDR would not be allowed to get through the state primary system today.
