We were going to go and everything has fallen apart and I'm incredibly bummed out about it. Please enjoy it for me.

4. More info
More information on Obama rally

Post your photos from area campaign events
Officials have announced more details for Saturday’s rally featuring Barack Obama on the southeast lawn of Kansas City’s Liberty Memorial.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and Obama is expected to speak at 6 p.m.

The main entrance will be near the intersection of Main Street and Memorial Drive. Signs will be posted. Attendees will pass through a security checkpoint.

Handicapped access will be available at the intersection of Pershing and Kessler roads. First-come-first-serve handicap parking is available in the west lot of the memorial.

No signs, banners umbrellas, coolers or lawn chairs can be carried on to the grounds.

Admission is free and open to the public, but campaign officials ask that people planning to attend RSVP at www.barackobama.com

6. Have you heard if they are going to run shuttle buses?
If I remember correctly this is where Rock-fest was held...I am question the 50,000 mark...any ideas?

7. That park holds 50,000 easy
Not all those 50,000 will be able to see him since it is a long and narrow park. But they had 50,000 for Blues Fest and Spirit Fest more than once.

Now will 50,000 be there tomorrow? Who knows. But remember when he came to KC last winter, they filled up that side room in Municipal Auditorium and had almost as many people standing outside who couldn't get in. I know more people who didn't get in to that rally than people who got in. I was inside and it was unreal, there were so many people.

I haven't heard anything about shuttles. But the bus runs regularly up and down Main.

I am going to try to park at the Hallmark lot since it is closest. Then Union Station. If they are full, we will go over to a friend's office at 31 and Main and walk from there.

The entrance to the event is at the south end of the park, not the side closest to Union Station.

9. I made it after all!
The trip was a bit of an "Adventure", but I'm so glad things worked out in the end! Hubby is clearing the photos as we speak and we'll put the link up as soon as the pics are available!
