Info on the MO western appeals judicial elections

Although information regarding the four remaining judges on the ballot for the Western District is scarce, MCV-PAC recommends the following:

Victor C. Howard – Appointed by Governor Mel Carnahan (D) in 1996, MCV-PAC believes a No vote is in order.
Karen Mitchell – Appointed by Governor Jay Nixon (D) in 2009, MCV-PAC does not believe she should be retained.
James Welsh and Alok Ahuja were both appointed by Governor Matt Blunt (R) in 2007. MCV-PAC recommends a Yes vote on both of these judges.

So if ideology is the motivation MO DUers in western MO should vote:

Yes to retain Victor Howard.
Yes to retain Karen Mitchell.
No to retain Welsh and Ahuja.

1. They left one out:

Pfeiffer was appointed by Governor Nixon (D) in May of 2009. As a shareholder in the personal injury & malpractice firm, Bley & Pfeiffer, one can guess his viewpoint as a judge. MCV-PAC recommends a NO vote on retaining Judge Pfeiffer.

Nonpartisan Judges - Court of Appeals - Western District
• Howard, Victor: Yes to retain.

• Pfeiffer, Mark: Yes to retain.
• Mitchell, Karen: Yes to retain.
