help out Montana lefties
Come and post at the most active discussion board I know of in MT. We have a rough balance in leftwing and rightwing but us lefties could always use some more help. Especially, Kerry could use more help cause a number of the lefties are Nader supporters.

Free registation lets you post.

3. www.DumpBushMissoula.com
Join the Red State Rebellion, Time to take back our Democracy and our state!

October 3rd, 2pm, Caras Park Missoula.

Howard Dean has been invited!

**the following is an exerpt from the DumpBushMissoula.com website.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
We have reserved beautiful Caras Park by the river that runs through it in Missoula for the day of October 3. We will produce a rally, followed by a party, from 2-4 pm at the Caras Park Pavilion.

We will have a major speaker, games (“What are weapons of mass destruction?”) with panelists getting key issues onto the table, and afterwards, a political carnival (pin the tail on Cheney quotes). Quick, witty, fun, and backed by solid one-page handouts (Think Again: The Missoulist Papers), succinct and accurate, on 5-6 key topics. Everyone should leave with a strong sense of issues (e.g., The World loved us after 9/11; they hate and fear us now. Why?)

We will be linked to other organizations nationally, and will provide information and sign-up opportunities for registering voters in swing states, etc., so that everyone leaves with clear directions for further action.

We expect 2-5,000 people and national attention.

Plan to spend the afternoon at the Park!

6. Bozeman is pretty liberal
I graduated from MSU and still live in town. The town is liberal except for most of the cowboys but they stick to themselves. You occasionally run into norrow-minded people but you have to just go with it. Let me know if you have any other questions.

8. Bozeman is pretty liberal
The MSU paper is run by a bunch of wingnuts though, but they're of the less-facts-than-Coulter variety, so not to worry. Bozeman is pretty hip, lots of recreational opportunities, and even has decent sushi.

If you have any more questions, ask :-)

11. We're moving to Somers in a few weeks
Hey Larissa! We're moving in a few weeks from LA up to Somers. Husband is from Circle, and my family is in Bozeman. They're all a bunch of righties though, so it would drive us nuts to be in Bozeman. Plus we love the northwest - neither of us has lived up there (I lived in Missoula about 13 years ago but only briefly). We're really looking forward to the lakes and boating and also hikes in Glacier Park.

If you get down to Bigfork this summer, would love to try to meet up with you. We're a bit nervous about the political climate there (i.e., finding liberal friends) -- we were originally planning to move to Whitefish because of its progressive reputation, but we found the housing and land just too expensive there. Maybe in a few years.....and maybe if prices come down. The views of Flathead from our Somers perch is actually much better than any we've come across up in Whitefish anyway :)
