State Supreme Court rules for Demo

It's finally over. In a 6-1 decision, the Montana Supreme Court declared Democrat Jeanne Windham the winner of the Lake County legislative race, overruling a Lake County judge who had ruled in favor of Constitutional Party candidate Rick Jore.

The court's ruling leaves the House with a 50-50 split between the parties. In such a situation, the Speaker of the House is given to the party of Democratic Gov.-elect Brian Schweitzer.

Maybe we'll start being labelled as a "blue" state :)

(though I think it's far more complicated than that...)
