NEED INFO Please
Here is a link to the senate bill 128 that has passed http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legislation/2005/sb0128.html

A few days ago one of my Districts Republican Reps (Larry Ross) issued a self congratulatory press release in our local papers praising himself for co-sponsoring a Clean Power Bill which will among other things requiring mercury emission reduction of 80% by the year 2013.

Recently I read something (But cannot for the life of me remember where) stating that this was in fact a watered down version of the senate bill that passed.

I have a few questions that people may be able to answer even if unfamiliar with this specifically.

1) Can I (and if so how) get the actual text of a bill that is still in committee?

2) Does anyone know any more about this and have any links they could share?

I would like to qualify this reps press release with a letter to the editor qualifying that this is in fact a compromise but am finding very little hard facts to work with other than a recent and dim recollection of something I read somewhere... very sad.. If any one can help I would appreciate it.

1. It's a gutted mess
The bill you are referring to is a hollow version of the Senate legislation. PSNH pitched their usual hysterical fit and scared off a lot of people.

I'll try and find some data from the Sierra Club and Clean Water Action that puts this into focus.

3. Let me see what I can find
I'll be at the State House tomorrow, and I will look for a copy of the proposed amendments.
