Brian Conley, Alive in Baghdad project creator on April 2nd
Brian will be in Peterborough at the town library on April 2nd at 7pm. I pasted the press release below.
I am not sure if any of you are close enough to Peterborough to make this, but just in case.

Film maker and journalist Brian Conley will speak at the Peterborough Town Library on April 2nd at 7pm about his project “Alive in Baghdad”, a compilation of video, interviews, pictures and articles formed with the intention of documenting the experience of occupation from the Iraqi perspective. His footage from Baghdad (which he plants to make available through a creative commons license) shows the continuing security, health and infrastructure crises that are widely under reported or unreported by the main stream media.
“Alive in Baghdad will encourage Westerners to ask questions about the similarity of life between working Americans and working Iraqis, to wonder about the strength of resolve it takes to continue supporting your family against all odds under occupation. We will encounter those who do not join the resistance despite the lack of any viable employment and survival in a manner that remains neutral to the occupation, as well as those who feel the resistance or the occupation are the only options”.
Brian will show some of his footage and then guests will have an opportunity to pose questions. Brian plans to return to Iraq to continue the documentary later this spring. Donations for this project are greatly appreciated, in the form of cash or photographic equipment (digital and still). This event is being sponsored by The Peterborough Democrats and Democracy for NH. All are welcome to attend.

1. I might just go to this. Alive in Baghdad is an awesome site and I'd
really like to listen to Brian Conley. Do you need to reserve or purchase tickets in advance?

2. The event is free
We are not charging in any way. Our town democratic committee as well as DFNH, is offering him a small honorarium but we are hoping that some people who come might be willing to donate (even a small amount) to his next trip. Don't feel like you are obligated however as the primary objective is to give people a chance to hear what he has to say.
If you need directions or more info let me know. It would be wonderful if you can make it.
