Democrats making huge gains in Republican territory

Lots of media coverage of Democratic gains in Central New Hampshire.

NH Senate President Sylvia Larsen, Speaker of the House Terie Norelli and Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley told a room packed with city Democrats that the Laconia Office will remain open after the November election, becoming the fifth permanent office in the state.

New Hampshire Senate President Sylvia Larsen of Concord, House Speaker Terie Norelli of Portsmouth and Democratic Party Chair Raymond Buckley also spoke to civics and history students at Belmont High School and later spent some time in Plymouth.

'Call To Action' Yields Great Results. Over 20 people packed into the local party office Thursday evening to make calls to local voters. Over 2,000 households were contacted, and several hundred new Obama and Shaheen supporters were identified.

This follows Barack's visit to New Hampshire last weekend which sparked incredible enthusiasm throughout the state.

Things are looking good here in Central New Hampshire. What we're seeing on the ground, from canvassing and from phone banking defies the published polls. There is very little support for McCain and Obama's strength is growing daily.

I'm up in North Conway. Hard to say where we stand but still, we're getting a lot of Obama support.
